| American Veterans, LLC Receives Notice to Proceed on VETS GWAC Contract |
| February 1, 2007 |
| |
American Veterans, LLC., received the Notice to Proceed on the Veterans Technology for Services (VETS) Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) from the General Services Administration (GSA). The base period of performance for the contract is February 2, 2007 to February 1, 2012. American Veterans, LLC. is actively pursuing task orders under this contract.
Federal buyers wanting to use the VETS GWAC must receive training on the proper use of VETS contract and be granted a written delegation of ordering authority (Delegation) signed by a VETS GWAC Procuring Contracting Officer (PCO) prior to competing for and issuing VETS GWAC task orders. The training may take as little as 15 to 20 minutes. Delegation is easy to request and is routinely handled through a brief conference call with a VETS GWAC PCO provided the parties being trained have internet access during the training. To start the process, Contracting Officers interested in becoming VETS GWAC OCOs need to follow the instructions listed on the VETS GWAC web page. |

American Veterans, LLC Awarded Coveted GSA VETS GWAC Contract |
| December 18th, 2006 |
| |
American Veterans, LLC., was awarded the prestigious Veterans Technology for Services (VETS) Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC).
The VETS GWAC is a $5 billion small business set-aside contract for service-disabled veteran-owned (SDVO) small technology firms. It is the result of Executive Order 13360 that is designed to strengthen federal contracting opportunities for SDVO technology firms. VETS presents a new way for federal agencies to achieve small business goals through the purchase of Information Technology solutions from small businesses owned by services-disabled veterans.
American Veterans is one of only 43 businesses selected from a nationwide pool of over 700 applicants by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) for Functional Area Two - Information Systems Engineering. Eligible contractors will be able to compete for federal government procurements under this contract set-aside that has a five-year option period and potential overall value of $5 billion.
American Veterans is a Joint Venture between SBG Technology Solutions, Inc. and Akimeka, LLC. All members of American Veterans are service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses (SDVOSB). |
